He then provided options to fix it and explained what would be involved and the differences in each option. I didn’t feel rushed or pressured to make a quick decision. Geoff was able to come out early on a Sunday morning and get everything repaired and functioning properly again within a couple hours. Geoff was very friendly and extremely professional. I called for a spring repair. The repair tech was very kind and courteous however after inspecting the door he gave me a quote for over $3000. He listed off several "issues" which after a second opinion from another garage door repair company indicated where not issues. This included a dysfunctional opener which he diagnosed due to charring on the components which was not present and it not fully cycling which the other company fixed by running a full cycle (simply holding the button down). The Precision Door repair tech then charged me $99 for the inspection which I believe was a misleading attempt to raise the quote.

The serviceman arrived on time and was thorough in his inspection of my overhead door. The service call was to check why my remotes were not working, but when he arrived, they worked he did a fine job of cleaning up my existing door. He was very polite and nice and I appreciated his help.

I appreciated the same day service. Jimmy couldn't have been more polite and informative, on time and good communication. On the down side, pricing was completely ridiculous. To replace 2 springs on one door the costing was over $1200, nearly 3x's the cost are from other leading service providers were (A&E). I ultimately went back to my primary service provider and the same service out the door was $459. When I asked why they were so high, was told that Precision uses 'powder coated' springs vs oil dipped. If pricing would have been just a bit reasonable, I would have went with Precision but whey pay nearly 3xs the cost for a basic repair.
