Jeff explained what caused the problem and the recommended options and price points with no sales pressure. I had all the moving parts replaced, including the spring and a new belt driven closer. It is very quiet and much safer. I am completely satisfied with my experience dealing with Precision Door, Geoffrey Grouse, the technician, and I highly recommend them!

One of the springs for our garage door broke over the weekend. We had worked with another company in the past to install our system and replace springs but they were not open on the weekend so I called Precision. They came out on a Sunday to look at our broken spring and promptly found several thousand dollars worth of problems with our unit. Throughout the entire interaction with the service tech, I felt as if I was being sold things that I did not need. He proceeded to drop the prices several times in order to try to get my business even applying a discount to the price that didn't even apply to me. I told him that we would pass on all of these options. On Monday morning, I called the company that normally works on our garage door. They came out the next day and inspected our unit. They were quick to tell me that there is no need to replace our motor until it dies completely and that if we did need to replace it they could do so for a FRACTION of the price that Precision was quoting me. He replaced the springs and several other parts that showed wear. He greased and lubed everything. Our door has not worked as well at is does not for years. And, our regular company did everything for under $500! I felt like their technician was being honest and upfront with me. He never tried to sell me anything. I will certainly continue working with them in the future. I will not be calling Precision again and I strongly recommend against anyone else doing so either.

My experience with this company was excellent, beginning with the upfront call to set up the appointment to the end of the repair visit. All parties involved were very professional. The plans were explained to me with no pressure to buy one over the other; I got to choose what was best for my circumstances. I was shown what the issues were, and after the repairs were made, was shown where the repairs were made and the additional items I received. Don't use these guys, very disappointing experience. I needed 2 garage door openers replaced. The tech showed up and basically suggested just about everything needed to be replaced if I wanted everything to be safe, including springs that were replace 2 years ago. Pricing was extremely high, and the total bill was 2x most other companies. The company I hired was extremely honest, upfront and no gimmicky selling, including components that were in great condition yet Precision said I needed them replace to have a safe garage door.
