Precision Garage Door Service is the BEST!. I called this morning to check my key pad if there is something wrong with it because sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. And thinking also that winter is coming up and it has to work. After talking to Ashley about the problem she scheduled me right away that afternoon. It was very quick and easy. No wait at all. And now it fixed. They are all very professional and polite even the first time I met one of the service guy four years ago when I had my garage door replaced to a new one. The technician, Geoff Grouse, contacted us on schedule and let us know that he was on his way to our home. He quickly performed an inspection of the entire garage door system and discussed the issues that he found during the process. He presented options, and upon our decision, he quickly began implementing the new part. Completion of the job was right on his timed prediction, and we were very pleased with the results. He noted a needed adjustment to the door position, and quickly completed the task resulting in a smooth, quiet operation. We will not hesitate to contact him with any future issue.

Our technician Geoff was great. He asked all the right questions gave us 3 different options after a very thorough inspection. We gave him the go ahead with the best and most expensive option to get the lifetime warranty. He told us the job would take about 2.5 hours he was finished and cleaned up just inside the 2.5 hours. Very polite respectful young man. Obviously wasn’t planning on it costing as much as it did but I do feel like it was money well spent. Geoff replaced everything but the door itself.

Kevin O'Hara, the technician sent to our home, first, was able to move our appointment to an earlier time, which was outstanding since it was Sunday. Second, he was immediately able to find the issue of the service call. This issue was covered under our warranty. It's rare in this day and age to find a company to provide service on Sunday, come early, send a true professional, such as Kevin, complete the job to perfection and have a warranty cover all charges. Precision Garage should be your go to company should you have a need. Ask for Kevin O'Hara he'll not let you down.

I had no past experience with Precision but see their trucks all over town so I called them. My door would not open due to worn out and undersized springs and they responded within 3 hours of my call. Jimmy was my technician and he was the best being very thorough, polite and knowledgeable about his product. He explained the problem, changed the springs and the opener now works perfect. I will no doubt use them again and highly recommend Precision to others needing anything garage door related.

I had Precision replace my openers two years ago and they did a great install. They have been trouble free since. Yesterday one of my garage doors would not go up and the keypad gave an error code. I called Precision and they scheduled Kevin to come out two hours later. Kevin came out, inspected the doors and hardware and diagnosed a broken spring. He did an estimate for the required work, and presented me with several options. I elected to replace all the relevant hardware and as a precaution did it for the functional door as well. He accomplished everything in about 90 minutes; his experience really showed. Kevin is a great technician, and Precision is the only company in the area I’d even consider to work on my garage doors; highly recommended!

This is no fault of the technician who came out and entirely on this company. If you are looking to get your garage serviced same day, this is the place for you. If you're looking to get bent over and taken in the rear, this is also the place for you. The pricing is outrageous and you are better using another company. The business model drives unnecessary profit. Here is what I imagine their business model is: have as many techs as you can in the field so that they are showing up same day, have the tech mention the company's "great 5-star reviews" to get the customer comfortable and confident, present 3 "options" to the customer with the "best" one being things they do not need or want, use key phrases like "better than our competitors" and "safety" to try and trick the customer into buying something they do not need. My call was solely to get a broken spring replaced. The experience calling and making an appointment was good; the rep was pleasant. I was able to make an appointment for a window of 12:00 to 2:00. 2:00 rolls around and nothing. I have to call the rep back and ask when the tech will be there. The tech calls me, and is very nice, and explains his current job is taking longer than expected. He showed up at around 3:35, so I would consider this very late, unacceptable and misleading. The rep did not tell me up front that the service call is $145.00. This should be explained when making an appointment in case customers do not want to use Precision for their services. The tech showed up and first thing he mentions is all their 5-star reviews. So now I know right off the bat, this is a sales pitch. The entire conversation that followed was a sales pitch designed to try and get the best profit. I was offered "good" "better" and "best" options. The best option was obviously things I did not need. The phrases "for your safety" were thrown out and yada, yada, yada. My "good" quote was $2,600 and included things like motor replacement and some other things I did not feel necessary. After some negotiating, the price went down to $1278 for new spring and cables then again to $1166. And then it went down some more to $1155. THE PRICE CHANGED 4 TIMES. What kind of business does this? If the customer is adamant they do not want to spend a lot of money, you shouldn't have to negotiate down this much. The invoice lists 2 springs and the cost for 1 is $465..... FOUR HUNDRED AND SIXY FIVE DOLLARS EACH. That is astronomical! Also the invoice listed the spring color as black and what was installed is green so I'm guessing the tech input the wrong part and I'm not even confident I was charged the correct amount. The green is not appealing and this is shady business practice. The tech did fine work, everything is functional. My invoice also lists a 3-year warranty and the sales pitch used the phrase "warrantied for a while" or "warrantied for lifetime" and "we're going to use better parts than our competitors and they last a long time." Okay, then why is this only warrantied for 3 years? The 3 year warranty was not told to me up front. The tech of course mentioned giving a review. I was honest with him and said it was no fault of his own but I was not satisfied with the pricing. He understood and said maybe I shouldn't leave a review at all. He also mentioned if I left a 5-star review he would get a bonus. The audacity. If I could do it all over, I would have turned down service, paid the ridiculous $145 service call fee and used another company. I will never use this company again and will adamantly tell others not to do the same. Waste of money and not satisfied.

David was amazing. I originally only needed a broken spring replaced (or so I thought). He did a full work up of the garage door/system to make sure everything else was working properly and actually found a lot of other problems since my system is 17 years old and original to the house. He pointed out each area of issue and showed me everything that would need to be replaced eventually and why. He found metal shavings coming off of the chain drive gear, burnt wires on the circuit board and capacitor and fraying cables. However, he never got pushy or tried to convince me to replace everything at that moment. Due to David taking his time to explain everything and showing me everything that was failing or would fail in the relative near future, we went ahead and had everything replaced anyway. We ended up replacing the springs, cables, rollers, door opener, and remotes. Thanks to David, everything is running smooth and safe.

The service technician, Christopher Woods, was excellent. Extremely nice and informative. He gave me all the options on repair or replace. I chose to repair and he was fast and efficient. Cleaned up any mess and took broken parts with him. I would recommend Precision to family and friends. The only thing the company should change is the charge to credit card users. Most people are using a credit card so either build the cost into the charge or don't charge it. This seems unprofessional to me.

Great installation. Personable and professional installe. Broke down every recommendation, and made sure to show me all the important points of failure in the initial inspection. Each issue was obvious to me when it was pointed out to me. So ended up have several hinges replaced, all the rollers replaced and a new opener installed. Pricing was high but after 27 years the prices had obviously gone up. After it was all said and done, great install, and very good pricing for all the features and installer support features made it well worth the price. Highly recommended!

This was a repeat call for a different issue. Precision Door was professional and customer-focused from the first call. The appointment was scheduled, and the service technician verified the service time and rechecked to confirm it. The best part was being explicit about the identified issues, pricing, and suggestions for options to select. It is an excellent company to patronize.
