This is no fault of the technician who came out and entirely on this company. If you are looking to get your garage serviced same day, this is the place for you. If you're looking to get bent over and taken in the rear, this is also the place for you. The pricing is outrageous and you are better using another company. The business model drives unnecessary profit. Here is what I imagine their business model is: have as many techs as you can in the field so that they are showing up same day, have the tech mention the company's "great 5-star reviews" to get the customer comfortable and confident, present 3 "options" to the customer with the "best" one being things they do not need or want, use key phrases like "better than our competitors" and "safety" to try and trick the customer into buying something they do not need. My call was solely to get a broken spring replaced. The experience calling and making an appointment was good; the rep was pleasant. I was able to make an appointment for a window of 12:00 to 2:00. 2:00 rolls around and nothing. I have to call the rep back and ask when the tech will be there. The tech calls me, and is very nice, and explains his current job is taking longer than expected. He showed up at around 3:35, so I would consider this very late, unacceptable and misleading. The rep did not tell me up front that the service call is $145.00. This should be explained when making an appointment in case customers do not want to use Precision for their services. The tech showed up and first thing he mentions is all their 5-star reviews. So now I know right off the bat, this is a sales pitch. The entire conversation that followed was a sales pitch designed to try and get the best profit. I was offered "good" "better" and "best" options. The best option was obviously things I did not need. The phrases "for your safety" were thrown out and yada, yada, yada. My "good" quote was $2,600 and included things like motor replacement and some other things I did not feel necessary. After some negotiating, the price went down to $1278 for new spring and cables then again to $1166. And then it went down some more to $1155. THE PRICE CHANGED 4 TIMES. What kind of business does this? If the customer is adamant they do not want to spend a lot of money, you shouldn't have to negotiate down this much. The invoice lists 2 springs and the cost for 1 is $465..... FOUR HUNDRED AND SIXY FIVE DOLLARS EACH. That is astronomical! Also the invoice listed the spring color as black and what was installed is green so I'm guessing the tech input the wrong part and I'm not even confident I was charged the correct amount. The green is not appealing and this is shady business practice. The tech did fine work, everything is functional. My invoice also lists a 3-year warranty and the sales pitch used the phrase "warrantied for a while" or "warrantied for lifetime" and "we're going to use better parts than our competitors and they last a long time." Okay, then why is this only warrantied for 3 years? The 3 year warranty was not told to me up front. The tech of course mentioned giving a review. I was honest with him and said it was no fault of his own but I was not satisfied with the pricing. He understood and said maybe I shouldn't leave a review at all. He also mentioned if I left a 5-star review he would get a bonus. The audacity. If I could do it all over, I would have turned down service, paid the ridiculous $145 service call fee and used another company. I will never use this company again and will adamantly tell others not to do the same. Waste of money and not satisfied.

Mr. Guffey was our technician. We could not have dreamed of someone more professional, polite, and knowledgeable. My garage broke on a Saturday night and Monday morning Mr Guffey was fixing it. He even called to announce his ETA and offered to bring a coffee.

David was amazing. I originally only needed a broken spring replaced (or so I thought). He did a full work up of the garage door/system to make sure everything else was working properly and actually found a lot of other problems since my system is 17 years old and original to the house. He pointed out each area of issue and showed me everything that would need to be replaced eventually and why. He found metal shavings coming off of the chain drive gear, burnt wires on the circuit board and capacitor and fraying cables. However, he never got pushy or tried to convince me to replace everything at that moment. Due to David taking his time to explain everything and showing me everything that was failing or would fail in the relative near future, we went ahead and had everything replaced anyway. We ended up replacing the springs, cables, rollers, door opener, and remotes. Thanks to David, everything is running smooth and safe.

The service technician, Christopher Woods, was excellent. Extremely nice and informative. He gave me all the options on repair or replace. I chose to repair and he was fast and efficient. Cleaned up any mess and took broken parts with him. I would recommend Precision to family and friends. The only thing the company should change is the charge to credit card users. Most people are using a credit card so either build the cost into the charge or don't charge it. This seems unprofessional to me.

Great installation. Personable and professional installe. Broke down every recommendation, and made sure to show me all the important points of failure in the initial inspection. Each issue was obvious to me when it was pointed out to me. So ended up have several hinges replaced, all the rollers replaced and a new opener installed. Pricing was high but after 27 years the prices had obviously gone up. After it was all said and done, great install, and very good pricing for all the features and installer support features made it well worth the price. Highly recommended!

David explained the options and pricing for a new Liftmaster opener and work that needed to be done. David was very friendly and professional and proceeded to do the work. When my spring broke and caused my opener to break, Precision came out 1 business day later. They prefaced the appointment with a call to understand what was going on and to inform me what to expect. Chris called me the morning of to let me know when he would be over and let me know he’d call 30 minutes before he was going to arrive. Upon arrival Chris spoke to me and took the time to understand the problems, inform me of their process and then present me with several options for the repair. Upon choosing an option, Chris got to work and had my door in good working order shortly and explained what he did and the warranty on the work. Very professional, prompt, informative company. Would highly recommend! NOTE: If I had to note any negative it would be as others have said the price was much higher than anticipated however I was previously unfamiliar with garage repair so I really had no fair basis for what to expect.

I received absolutely amazing service from the lady (Latoya?) who answered the phone yesterday to Justin, who did my service today. I was so grateful for his honesty. He text me and called me to tell me when he would be here. He was very courteous and patient. Justin was knowledgeable and explained every step to me. I actually only did what was under warranty, and I really appreciated him, telling me all the options and his honesty. my garage door was put up in 2020 I believe by precision garage door. Garrett was my technician and did a masterful job of diagnosing the issue that has been going on with my five year old garage door since it was new. The company that installed it, who shall remain nameless. Try to fix it on three different occasions, and was not able. Garrett diagnosed it within 15 minutes of being at my residence Showed me the issue and gave me several different options. The door has never been quieter or worked better. I strongly recommend that you call this company. They do an incredible job.

If you had six stars, I would have selected that! The technician, David Lenhardt was very professional and efficient. He called in the morning to let me know he'd be here for the scheduled appt. And again called to inform me he was on his way after he filled up the truck, and asked if he could get me something to drink while he was there. Our technician, David, was great! I had a few items we were concerned about and he took the time to explain the issues. He patiently waited (about 10 minutes) til my husband got back to explain in detail, again, the issues and what he could do to solve. Precision Overhead Garage is the BEST! I have been doing research to which company is the best before I decided to call POG. Our garage doors were really bad for years. Only one was working and it was not even in good shape that every time we open and close made me worried. Thinking that it might drop to the floor. Their staff are very professional and very attentive of your concerns. We had Luke and Jonathan. Both are very nice gentlemen. I am very satisfied of Jonathan's job today. I am happy that I had POG worked on my garage doors. I am Highly Recommended to people to have POG to work on your garage doors. They are the BEST!
